Italian paper clothing patterns
Shaping fashion ideas
Dogali Street is a specialized company in the creation of clothing patterns, active in Empoli (Florence), Tuscany, Italy, for nearly forty years. We have always transformed ideas, sketches, images, and sample garments into precise technical bases, designed to support companies, brands, and fashion professionals during a fundamental stage of the production process.
Our work stems from the fusion of artisanal experience, pattern-making sensitivity, and updated digital tools. This is how, project after project, we give shape to patterns developed with care, precision, and a deep knowledge of the garment.
A history of passion, experience, and practical work
Dogali Street was founded in 1986 by Catia, who, after her studies in pattern making, turned her passion for tailoring and garment construction into a profession. Over the years, the business has grown while maintaining a clear identity: an all-female Italian artisanal reality, capable of combining method, sensitivity, and technical expertise. Barbara later joined as a partner, contributing to the company’s development and the consolidation of a business built on reliability and continuity over time.
Today, Dogali Street continues to work with the same philosophy as always: doing one’s job well, with integrity, passion, and great respect for the value of artisanal work. It is a practical approach that does not chase forced definitions but focuses on substance: interpreting the client’s requests to the best of our ability and creating professional patterns that are accurate and ready to be integrated into the production chain.
Within the company, Catia specifically oversees the modeling, new garments, and fitting sessions, while Barbara manages production-related aspects and the transition of the model into the operational phase. These two complementary roles allow us to follow every project with attention and consistency.
We create clothing patterns Dogali Street focuses exclusively on pattern making. We do not produce the finished garment and do not handle tailoring: our job is to develop clothing patterns, starting from the client’s idea and translating it into precise, consistent technical work ready for the next step.
We can start from a drawing, a photograph, a fashion plate, a video, a sketch, or an existing model. Sometimes the client arrives with a very defined concept, other times with an intuition that still needs focus: in both cases, our task is to interpret the idea and transform it into a pattern built with judgment, experience, and sensitivity.
We collaborate with fashion companies, brands, designers, and subcontractors, supporting both structured organizations and smaller projects or capsule collections. Every pattern is developed with careful attention to fit, proportions, and the consistency of the garment.
From idea to model, with method
Every job begins with a consultation. We listen to the client, analyze the source material, and develop the pattern precisely, interpreting the idea through a technical lens.
During the process, we carefully follow every stage, from the initial lines to any necessary corrections. The goal is to deliver a reliable, well-constructed model ready for the subsequent production phase.
We combine hand-work with updated digital tools, utilizing Lectra System CAD and the latest generation technologies. While technology supports us, the Italian experience of those who truly know how to “read” a garment remains fundamental.
We also work remotely with both Italian and international clients, maintaining the same level of precision and availability.
The value of Made in Italy
For Dogali Street, Made in Italy is not just a slogan, but a concrete heritage of skills, experience, and product culture. Working in this sector, in Tuscany and near a district with such a strong historical fashion presence, means being part of a tradition that has built quality, method, and global recognition over the years.
In our experience, Italian pattern making retains something unique: the ability to interpret a garment not only from a technical point of view but also from an aesthetic and proportional one. It is not just about “building” a model, but about truly understanding it, grasping its intentions, anticipating production needs, and translating everything into a precise result.
This is also why many clients, including those from abroad, still seek out work made in Italy. They look for our supply chain, our experience, and our touch. They seek a way of working that combines technique, tradition, and sensitivity—a combination that continues to make a difference in the fashion industry.
Precision, passion, and reliability
What sets Dogali Street apart is the way we work: with attention, integrity, and passion.
We follow every project with a practical approach, without pretense or empty promises. We prefer to build trust through the quality of our work, the professionalism of our relationships, and the care we put into every model. We are proud of what we do, and this is evident in the details.
